It started with one helicopter.
Simon built a lightweight automated pricing calculator for a local helicopter operator in Denmark. The goal was simple: make charter pricing faster and easier to manage.

Flyerio was created with a simple ambition: to make private aviation easier to access, more transparent to navigate, and better connected for customers, brokers, and operators.
It is a platform for arranging private flights. Customers and brokers bring the journey. Operators bring the aircraft, and the decision to fly it.
How Flyerio started
2023
The idea proved its value.
The calculator helped sell 20 flights for the helicopter operator. It was an early sign that better pricing tools could make a real difference in charter operations.

2024
From a pricing tool to a marketplace.
The vision expanded beyond a single operator. Work began on the business plan, marketplace concept, and initial UI/UX design, while fundraising efforts got underway.
The foundation for Flyerio as a platform.
2025
Flyerio ApS is founded.
Simon D. Kristensen and Jonas Wolfhagen officially founded Flyerio ApS. Both active pilots, they combined Simon’s experience in charter pricing and software with Jonas’s technical background and experience as a tour and VIP pilot.
A dedicated software development team was brought on board, and development of the marketplace began in earnest.

Early 2026
The first version takes shape.
Flyerio’s MVP reached the testing stage. We began working with selected helicopter operators, followed by five fixed-wing aviation partners, to test the platform in real-world conditions.

Built with the industry.
Test partners put Flyerio through its paces, providing feedback and requests that helped shape ongoing improvements. The focus was on building a platform that works for the people using it every day.

Taking Flyerio to the industry.
Flyerio is set to be showcased at European Rotors in Lyon, France, followed by the planned launch of its web platform and mobile apps. The goal is to bring more than 100 aircraft and over 50 operators onto the platform.

We’re building Flyerio to make private jet and helicopter travel easier to access and arrange. We’re not trying to take people out of the process. Instead, we’re building a professional marketplace focused on brokers and operators, while also giving customers, travel managers, and companies easier access to private aviation.
As a pilot myself, with experience in aviation operations, I have a good understanding of how the industry works and what it needs. That experience has helped shape the way we’re building Flyerio.
